E-Z Movers confirms moving trends

More retirees flocking to economical warm-weather cities outside Florida

Florida mapE-Z Movers, Inc., a nationwide moving company serving the southern Florida cities of Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Orlando confirms moving predictions: more retirees are moving from southern Florida and other states to warm-weather cities in Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Colorado.

In response to the economic recession, many moving experts predicted that retirees, those already on a strict budget and heavily effected by stock market loses, would seek more economical locations to wait out the winter. These predictions have been shown accurate based on analysis of recent move data by Tampa movers and Fort Lauderdale movers of E-Z Movers, Inc. In addition, several other moving companies reported a higher percentage of customers in the age range of 65 and above moving out of Florida.

The moving companies have seen a small but significant increase in moves from customers within the age range of retirement away from southern Florida cities such as Tampa and Orlando. The data shows that these customers typically relocate to other warm-weather cities that have lower costs of living for this age group, including Phoenix and Charlotte. The companies are also seeing a higher rate of this age group moving from more expensive communities along the Florida coasts to more economical locations in-land within Florida.

“We are constantly monitoring our data to try to learn more about where and why people are moving. Being prepared for new trends will ensure we provide the best care and moving services possible for all our customers nationwide. We find this confirmed trend interesting, and are working to make sure we meet any new and increasing needs in this part of the country in the coming years,” said E-Z Movers, Inc.
