Great places to live in Florida
The state of Florida is a popular place to live. In fact, around 800 people move there every day! If you’re thinking about becoming one of them, here are some great places to live that combine plenty of fun with the fantastic weather that’s the hallmark of Florida.
This planned suburban city is so exciting, even its name is fun—Aventura comes from the Spanish word for “adventure.” Development for this city began in the 1970s, when the area was called Turnberry, and became incorporated in 1995. Today, it’s a thriving and vibrant community with plenty to offer residents.
Aventura movers can look forward to several scenic parks, the Turnberry Golf Course and Promenade with a 3-mile, multimillion-dollar horticultural walkway, and the 2.4 million square foot Aventura Mall.
Delray Beach, Florida
Located in Palm Beach County, this medium city comes boasts a tropical rainforest climate and temperatures that range from 70s to 90s year-round. This makes it easy for Delray Beach movers to enjoy the two miles of public beach in the city, where snorkelers and scuba divers can check out the native coral habitat that formed around the steamship Inchulva, which sank in shallow waters on Sept. 11, 1903.
In addition, Delray Beach features the Downtown Delray Beach Arts District, with galleries and cultural organizations as well as the Art & Jazz on the Avenue festivals held six times a year.
Miami Beach, Florida
Known simply as The Beach, this is one of Florida’s most popular cities. Miami Beach movers will enjoy the tropical climate with hot, humid summers and warm, dry winters—and, of course, the beaches. From the family-friendly Matheson Hammock Beach to the world-famous South Beach, this city has the perfect shoreline for everyone.
But there’s more to Miami Beach than its beaches. One of the largest art shows in the country, Art Basel Miami Beach, is hosted here each December. There’s also the New World Symphony, the Miami City Ballet, and the Miami Beach Festival of the Arts for the culturally inclined.
Wherever you choose to move in Florida, you’re sure to find fun in the sun, and a great sense of community and excitement that makes this state such a popular destination.
